You click into a side screen to answer one question.
Then another question comes.
Now you are three tabs away from your story, talking while mentally searching for home base.

It is like missing one highway exit and suddenly touring three neighborhoods you did not plan to visit.

The Core Idea
Orientation is a skill, not a personality trait.
You do not "have it" or "not have it."
You build it with visible anchors.
Use Visible Anchors
Keep a tiny note beside your screen:
H3: Demo anchors
- NOW: where we are
- NEXT: where we go
- PROOF: what matters
When pressure rises, read your anchors before your next click.
Most demo mistakes are predictable. Run the checklist before your next customer call.

Weak vs Strong Recovery
Weak:
"Sorry, let me find that... one second..."

Strong:
"Let me re-anchor us: we are in approval routing. I will show one exception case, then return to the main flow."

A Reset Move That Works
If you feel lost, do this:
- Stop clicking.
- State current location.
- State next move.
- Continue.
Most sales demo tips are tactical.
This one is tactical and psychological.
It calms you and the room at the same time.
Practice Drill
- Rehearse your demo with forced detours.
- Intentionally jump off path twice.
- Practice returning using the same reset sentence.
